COVID-19 Update

Below is the Covid-19 protocol for the Sounds Good Choir organization as of April 6, 2023:

For audience members at our public concerts:

  • Audience members are always welcome to wear a mask at our performances.
  • Audience members no longer have to present proof of vaccination at performances.

This 3-minute video captures the information about our Covid-19 protocols.

For singers in our choral programs:

Vaccinations and at least one booster shot will continue to be required for all singers. We strongly suggest that all singers receive one annual booster shot per year. We encourage all singers to follow the CDC’s and your physician’s advice regarding whether receiving an additional bivalent booster is a good idea for you.

In addition,

  • Singers who test positive for Covid-19 should notify their chorus master immediately by e-mail and copy info@soundsgoodchoir.org.
  • In keeping with current CDC guidelines, people with COVID-19 should isolate for 5 days.
    • If they are asymptomatic or their symptoms are resolving (without fever for 24 hours), singers should follow that by 5 days of wearing a mask when around others (including at rehearsals or performance) to minimize the risk of infecting people they encounter.
    • Current CDC guidelines are found here.
  • While we expect that singers will adhere to the protocol above, we are no longer requiring that a singer submit a negative test in order to return to choir.

Thanks to Doug Lieberman and the Sounds Good Choir Covid Task Force for their wisdom and guidance.
