I Haven’t Sung In A Choir In 30 Years. Is That Okay?

Yes! We welcome not only lifelong singers and complete novices to choral singing but also those getting back into choral singing after a long or a short break. Remember, there’s no audition. Just bring yourself and enjoy the experience. Your tuition includes a wide range of audio practice materials – tracks that you can download, streamable tracks, and tracks on our YouTube channel – that singers report is very helpful in learning the music.

What’s Included In My Registration?

Tuition includes musical direction, sheet music, practice CD, accompanist, the flexibility to attend rehearsals at any Sounds Good Choir location, and the opportunity to perform in all our concert performances.

Do I Have To Pre-Register?

No. While we prefer you to sign up in advance – so that you can get advance information like parking and venue information, as well as communications from our office and your Chorus Master – you certainly are welcome to sit in on a rehearsal or two before you register. It’s important to know if Sounds Good is a good fit for you. However, we do require proof of vaccination and booster, and that you wear a mask to sing, even to attend as a guest.

Do You Offer Financial Assistance?

Yes. We have a reduced tuition option for singers unable to pay the entire tuition for a semester. This option reduces the fee to $50 for the session and is available simply upon request. There is no application form. Please contact us confidentially at info@soundsgoodchoir.org, and a staff member will reply with the information that you need to sign up this way.

How Is Sounds Good Choir Supported?

The programs of Sounds Good! Choirs are supported by (1) tuition for participation; (2) in-kind donation of space, goods, and services; and (3) financial contributions from those who love us, including generous individuals, family and private foundations, government and institutional partners, and corporate support.
