Lesley Parent

Having enjoyed a long career in public health promotion, Lesley believes wholeheartedly that the healthiest communities offer opportunities for older adults to remain active participants. The way Sounds Good Choir brings older adults together through their shared love of music while fostering a strong sense of community is the perfect expression of this, and she’s delighted to be able to work with an organization that so closely aligns with her values. A graduate of the University of Iowa (go Hawkeyes!), Lesley was raised in Naperville, spent many years raising her own family in Iowa City, and is currently living in downtown Chicago with her husband, where they enjoy concerts and music festivals and all the city has to offer. Lesley is so happy to be a part of the Sounds Good Choir team.
