The Sounds Good! Choir provides older adults in the Chicago area the opportunity to sing with a choir. Singing with Sounds Good! is fun, challenging, and rewarding.
We are the Chicago area’s largest and fastest-growing choral organization for older adults. We have served more than 650 lively and enthusiastic singers since our founding in early 2016.
Open to Adults Over 55
(but we don’t card)
Sounds Good! Choir dedicates itself to provide an excellent and accessible artistic environment for older adults, 55 and over, who seek arts education and performance opportunities under a professional artist. All are welcome, regardless of experience or ability.
For Fall 2021, we’re offering a return to in-person choirs and an online option. Enjoy either one or both!

Sheet music (yours to keep) is included in your registration and will be mailed to you.
Practice tracks are available on YouTube to help you learn your part. These same tracks serve as your “backing track” for recording yourself to be part of our virtual choir.

Leave it all on the floor!
Our choirs feature beautiful seasonal music in 4-part and 3-part choral arrangements by the leading arrangers of our time.

Our online rehearsals start with stretching and vocal warmups to get you singing at your best. Rehearsals on Facebook Live do not require a Facebook account. Repeat them as often as you like.

Singing in Chicago and Beyond!
Our singers live in Chicago, the suburbs, and beyond. When our choral activities are happening in person, we typically hold Sounds Good! Choir sessions in 8 Chicago-area communities and in Southwest Michigan. Right now we are rehearsing and performing completely online due to the pandemic.
Providing a continuum of services as people age, we are honored to offer the Good Memories Choirs, which serve people with early-stage memory loss and their care partners. We are honored to be of service to the community with choral music.
