Encore’s First Rehearsal — April 12, 2016

How time flies! Today is the 2nd anniversary of the very first rehearsal for Encore Illinois. It was at the Merion in Evanston (pictured here). Many of you were there that day. Hyde Park’s first rehearsal took place the very next day. We held two 6-week pilots and asked, “Would Encore be interesting to people?” Thanks to all of you who have ever sung with Encore, the answer has been a resounding “yes” in at least 4-part harmony!

A huge thank-you to everyone who makes Encore what it is: our singers (currently more than 300 of you), Linda Powell, Mary Mauch, Charles Hayes, Amy Wurtz, Erik Matson, Lurana Brown, the tireless and amazing Sandy Miller, Megan Bradley, the Encore Board (and our new president, Alice Dolan), Chorus Masters, Donors, Volunteers, and YOU!
